Subj:	God's Word: Handle with care

Once a wise old man, who had walked with the Lord
for many years, was talking with his teeage grandson
who had recently become a Christian.

"Gramps, I just can't seem to get the hang of this
Christian life.  Sometimes I feel real close to God
and have no trouble at all obeying Him, but other
times I want to do and say all kinds of junk that
I know would be wrong.  It just doesn't seem fair
to me.  Why can't I be good all the time?"

"Well, Sonny, I'll tell you something I found out a long
time ago.  Being a Christian is a lot like having two dogs
living inside of you. a good one and a bad one, and they're
always fighting."

"That sure does sound like me!  And the bad one wins more
often than I'd like!  Which one wins in you, Gramps?"

"The one I feed."


Let the word of Christ dwell in you
richly as you teach and admonish one
another with all wisdom, and as you sing
psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with
gratitude in your hearts to God.  And 
whatever you do, whether in word or
deed, do it all in the name of the Lord
Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father
through him.
