A poem, which symbolically processes the experience of the father of the prodigal son during his son's absence.
Vader Van de Verloren and Zoon,
A loss abrupt and far too soon.
Vader thought more time after June
Before departure by light of moon.
Yes, it is Vader Van de Verloren
In wonder of how Zoon is doing.
The door is here and wide open.
Yet, Zoon is gone and still going.
Zoon is in the land of strife,
A self-imposed narrative life,
Self-removed from the Five.
For them one day may he strive.
Mater cycles as one does again.
Lioness sad but aiming to win.
Oberon shrugs; it's not his problem.
Still, Vader Van de Verloren.
Companion excited at encounter,
Encaged when Zoon had again found her.
The remnant was taken far yonder.
She looked for him thereafter.
The future unknown and unwritten.
The darkness has attacked and bitten,
There is still hope; the door's open.
Still, Vader Van de Verloren.
Upon the open road he gazes,
Looking where his eye chases.
Will this be a night of praises
Or accusations without basis?
Each day he asks once again.
Heaven knows the persistent yen.
Not giving up or giving in,
He's Vader Van de Verloren.
Zoon may be on a long trek.
Heaven knows, makes its beck.
Though it may seem all a wreck,
One knows and keeps all in check.
The Elders may not ever see
The day where happiness will be.
For them it may not come to be
On this side of eternity.
They, the Lioness and Oberon trust.
This they do and this they must.
They serve One Who is perfectly just:
The One who calls to Zoon to trust.
I'm Vader Van de Verloren the same.
I hope one day to change my name.
One day a new name I will claim
When lamb dwells with wolf so tame.
For now, I am in this season
Whether or not there's good reason.
Onward and upwards I'm pressing.
I'm Vader Van de Verloren.
