There are many, many questions that prove challenging for those who deny God, who deny Christ. In spite of the rampant relativism and political correctness, there is absolute TRUTH.
From the human eye to irreducible complexity to the tilt of the earth to the distance from the sun to the distance from the moon to mathematical properties in nature to the metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly to entropy to the circulatory system of the giraffe to laminin, it is clear that God created and this cannot all be some accident.
Why am I - a Gentile - a Christian? Ultimately because of the Holy Spirit. Historically, however, Paul's passion for sharing the Gospel was a factor.
Yet, Paul the Apostle was once Saul of Tarsus, a murderer and persecutor of Christians.
But Saul became Paul. Why? He had met the Risen Lord Jesus Christ!
Why is there a church? The church was born on Pentecost.
What was happening around Pentecost? Peter, who had denied Jesus not long before, turned around and preached to thousands, three thousand accepting the message and being baptized that day!
Why was Peter changed?
Or better phrased, Who changed Peter from denying Jesus to proclaiming Jesus to thousands? Peter had seen the Risen Lord!
Why else would Peter preach boldly? He had seen the Lord Jesus Christ risen in victory! This means that Jesus really did die on the cross! And it means that Jesus really did rise again!
Yet people say that there are multiple ways to God, that Jesus is not the only way. Some even twist the truth and say that when Jesus said He was the Way, it meant doing things the way Jesus did. Yet, none of us can live as Jesus did in and of ourselves. All our righteous acts are as filthy rags. This does not remove us from the call to live as Jesus did, but realizing that our works will not get us into Heaven. Only Jesus will. When Jesus said He is the Way, He meant it.
Why would Jesus die on the cross and even predict it - multiple times - if there were another way to God?
Why did Jesus claim to be the Only Way to God (see John 3:16-18 and John 14:6)? He certainly died. He rose again and was seen by hundreds after His Resurrection. Peter preached after denying Him and Saul became the Gospel-proclaiming Paul because they had seen the Risen Lord.
And what about the prophecies He fulfilled?
Why am I changed? Why do I make these statements?
There is only One conclusion: Jesus Christ died and rose again. He is God (Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1, John 8:57-59, John 10:30, John 14:1-10, Romans 9:5, Revelation 1:8 along with Revelation 22:13, 16; and many others) and He is the only Way to God.
Praise the Lord!
